Yes. Please visit the Warranty page for more information.
No, purple, bubbling film is a sign of a very low-grade window film whose mounting adhesive and dye components have broken down. LLumar films are warranted against this issue, using more stable and advanced dye chemistries and/or permanent metal layers that do not discolor over time.
We prefer to do the installation in our facility located in Carmel, Indiana. We have specifically designed our facility around the installation of paint protection film. Our place is free from the dirt and debris found in most garages, which can cause imperfections during the installation. A small piece of dirt or a piece of hair can easily get stirred up moving around a garage. We have done hundreds of installations in other garages with good results. But we see the best installation results in our facility.

This is one of the benefits of paint protection film. It is not a permanent application, but we recommend professional removal.
We recommend letting the paint cure for at least 15-30 days prior to installing paint protection film (depending on the paint process). Gases from the paint need to escape before being trapped between the surface of the vehicle and the film. If not fully cured, the film can discolor from the inside out and/or the adhesive on the film can fail from the paint gases.
Please ask a Clear Bra Indy associate at the time of installation. Time will vary depending on the body shop’s paint process.
Installations typically take 3-5 hours, plus curing time, before final inspection/review. However, the amount of coverage and level of installation difficulty will determine the installation time. So, the process could be longer. We do not rush the job – we take the time and care needed to have a great outcome.
The patterns are cut in-house on our plotting machines, using state-of-the-art technology. Once the excess material is removed, the areas to be covered are sprayed with installation fluid. Then, the kit is peeled away from a release liner and transferred to your car. The kit is moved into position atop the installation fluid to allow for proper alignment. Once the kit is positioned, a squeegee is used to extract the installation fluid which allows the paint protection film to adhere to the vehicle’s surface.
Film is maintained/cared for in the same fashion as clear coat. Please click on the Film Care link.
LLumar window films are installed by our professional dealer network. Installation is quick, hassle-free, and our dealers will take you through the process step-by-step. The film may be computer cut to precisely fit your windows, and is usually installed on the interior side of the glass using adhesives that are water-activated. Window films need time to cure or dry out, usually for a number of days. But it can often be longer.
Not really, while not quite as hard as glass, LLumar window films are extremely scratch-resistant and may be cleaned with common household cleaners, non-abrasive paper towels, or cotton cleaning cloths. Caution should be exercised to prevent extreme gouging by hard, sharp, metallic objects.
Yes, window film does not have to be dark to provide benefits like heat reduction, energy savings, and ultraviolet (UV) protection. In fact, some darker films are dyed polyester that simply provide greater privacy. LLumar offers a wide range of window film shades for architectural and automotive applications, giving you options that best suit your needs.
Yes, paint protection film can be waxed and cared for just as you would the non-covered areas of your vehicle.
As long as the film is properly installed to a fully-cured painted vehicle, then it can be removed without causing damage to the paint.
Coatings such as these will not hurt the film or interfere with the film’s self-healing properties as long as the correct product and amount is used. Clear Bra Indy recommends these coatings be installed over top of the film. There’s really no advantage to have the coatings installed before the film. Installing a coating before the film is installed could create adhesion issues. This could cause the film to lift along the edges. Did you know that Clear Bra Indy is a leader in Ceramic Coatings?
